ART ALL NIGHT IS THIS WEEKEND

Old Iron City Brewery Building

Create, register, drop off and see the show! The 13th annual Art All Night is this Saturday and Sunday April 24-25. The doors open up at 6 p.m and stay open all night long until 2 p.m. on Sunday. Come check out the art, the bands, the performers and the people that make this event happen.

Artists can register on line at www.artallnight.org by following the Artist Registration link. Registration drop off is from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. You can register on site but there may be a line so PLEASE USE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION anytime! Art pickup is Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Volunteers are still needed for most tasks. Please check out the website and volunteer, it's really fun!

T-shirts are already available at the Gallery on 43rd and Perk Me Up on Butler Street in Lawrenceville.

New Construction is coming to the Allegheny River Waterfront

 A long range plan to redevelop sites from the Strip District into Lawrenceville was announced recently.

This could mean increasing property values in the "Below Butler" neighborhoods, depending where the construction of new parks, trails and housing is going to be implemented.

 Concerns are being raised by those worried that the historic wholesale 5-block long strip building could be affected. It is hoped that the structure, which has come to symbolize the area can be saved and  integrated into the plans.
